Rochdale man Kyle Howard has appeared in court accused of murdering 44-year-old Keeley Aspinall on a housing estate in Rochdale. Howard, 26, of Tweedale Street, Rochdale, appeared at Manchester Crown Court this morning. Police were called to reports of a concern for a welfare at the property off Tweedale Street, at around 4pm. Ms Aspinall, known to friends as Kiki, was pronounced dead at the scene. In a tribute released through GMP, her family said: "Gone too soon.. we can’t believe you are gone. We will always love you and miss you, love all your family xx." Paying tribute to Ms Aspinall, one friend told the Manchester Evening News she was 'like a sister', adding: "She was the best friend anyone could ask for. I'm going to miss her so much, she will always be in my heart." Howard was not asked to enter a plea and was remanded in custody. A further hearing was scheduled for August, while a trial was scheduled for November. Judge Alan Conrad KC told the defendant: "Your trial is fixed for November 16. You will be back in court on August 19 when you will be asked to enter your plea to this charge."
